Pravin Chaturvedi, Ph.D. Co-Founder, CEO, Director
Dr. Chaturvedi is the Chief Executive Officer of IndUS Pharmaceuticals and the Chief Scientific Officer of Napo Pharmaceuticals. Prior to IndUS and Napo, Dr. Chaturvedi was the President & CEO of Scion Pharmaceuticals and was the Head of Lead Evaluation at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Vertex, Dr. Chaturvedi held scientific positions at Alkermes and Parke-Davis (now Pfizer). He has over 25 years of pharmaceutical drug development experience and has been associated with the development and commercialization of several drugs. Dr. Chaturvedi serves or has served on the Boards of Scion, IndUS, Sindu, FuelEd, Cellanyx and TiE Boston. He received his Ph.D. in from West Virginia University.
Hendrik Luesch, Ph.D., Co-Founder, Director, Interim CSO
Dr. Luesch is Debbie & Sylvia DeSantis Chair in Natural Products Drug Discovery and Development and Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Florida. He combines his interest in marine natural products chemistry with systems biology approaches for the discovery and characterization of potential drugs and molecular drug targets. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (HI) and did his post-doctoral studies at Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications and many patents for novel drug candidates from his research in marine cyanobacteria.
